Will A Man Rob God?

Let's get into the sermon here today. I've had a lot of questions in recent months about tithing and I thought, well, most recently even people have asked, "Look, can I use some of my second tithe to get on a plane, I live in the middle of nowhere, I want to join up with other people for the upcoming Spring Holy days and Passover?" Can I get a plane ticket, can I rent a hotel and pay for my food as I'm out of town?" Yes, the answer is absolutely, that is what your second tithe is for so you can observe all of God's Holy days and Festivals and there are a lot of questions I hope to answer in the sermon today. The ones that I've been asked, I'll answer, if you have further questions you can talk to me or your local Pastor and they can help you with those questions on specific thi ...

The First Step In God's Plan Of Salvation

Today I want to talk about the first step in God's master plan of salvation for mankind. I want to talk about the Passover. A lot of people have been asking for a sermon on tithing, we'll get to that, they've got questions, we'll cover all three tithes and what the bibles has to say, but I've been getting several questions about the Passover and how do we prepare and so I want to talk about that today. I think all of you know that God's annual festivals and Holy Days have tremendous spiritual meaning and they not only bring God's people together for Holy Convocations or as we heard in the sermonette Commanded Assemblies but more importantly they reveal His great Master plan by which he is fulfilling his purpose for humanity and each step of the Holy days is another step in th ...

Connecting to Our Creator

A lot has been happening this week with the weather, as you all know, it's been a pretty exciting, I think everywhere we've seen across the country has been a unique time. I know just in Tennessee it's the most snow we've ever seen ever since I've been there. Not this time but even before that when we lived back in the two thousands, kind of shocking to see all this happening and then what's happening down in Texas and all over the Southwest, it's a lot happening. A lot that's continuing to remind us that things are very delicate, it could happen so quickly about how fragile life is ...

The Second Step In God's Master Plan of Salvation

Today I want to not focus on Passover as I said I'll be doing that in the Bible Studies on Friday night, we're in that gospel account of John and we're about to get in to the last hours of the life of Christ and John dedicates a huge portion of his gospel account to the final hours and days of the life of Jesus Christ. So I'll plan to cover a lot of things on that Friday night Bible Study, and if you can tune in do so. Regarding the Passover, I'm sure we will have other Ministers that give messages on this too in preparation, but I thought today I will go ahead and talk about the Days of Unleavened Bread, the second step in the Master Plan of Salvation for mankind ...

For God So Loved The World

Well one of the most difficult things to do is to be honest with ourselves. We're often our own biggest fans, we know what that's like, we kinda like ourselves and so it can be difficult to examine, to do the things that God has asked us to do. We like who we are, we end up focusing on the mistakes and short comings of others. The problem is there is none, not one that is fine just the way we are. We are not ok just the way we are and again that can be a tough conclusion to come to, the second we begin to think that we have gotten off track, we have not yet inherited all power and glory, it's a fact. We have not yet inherited all power and glory. ...

Is The Work of God Over?

Wanted to tell you a little bit about what's been happening as far as the work and as far as camp. A lot of questions coming in, Hey are we having camp? What's the plan for doing the work? The title of the Sermon today is, "Is the Work of God Over?" is what I want to talk about. But I just wanted you to know Mr. Fritts was out, he flew up from Murfreesboro, Tennessee to my house, there in Kansas City, and met with us and we got a lot done. We looked at two camp properties when he was up and spent a day doing that and working on the Feast of Tabernacles and lining up locations there, we're actually looking at maybe a beach site this year if that works out, if not we certainly have a backup at the Ozarks and probably a third backup, I just don't know these days, so we'll get some t ...

Sound The Alarm

Well its official, this week we witnessed the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States. President Joseph Biden, only the second catholic in history of our nation was sworn in on a bible kept in his family for generations. Like nearly all of his predecessors he invoked the name of God throughout his address. He then had a protestant pastor an African, Methodist, Episcopalian give the benediction asking God to bless the ceremony and the transfer of power. The President bowed his head in a moment of apparent devotion and prayer, again tipping his hat to God. He even received a message of encouragement from Pope Francis himself who wrote "On the occasion of your inauguration as the 46th President of the United States of America, I extend cordial good wishes in the assurance of m ...

A Storm Is Coming

Well good afternoon happy Sabbath, hope you are having a wonderful day I know with everything that is happening in the country right now, is a lot taking place and it's wonderful that God gives us an opportunity to be here together on the Sabbath, how much that means for all of us to put all that aside and come together and worship Him, so again, it's wonderful to be here. I'm going to go ahead and jump right in, how often, how often do we think about the end, is that too depressing or do we even consider that that might be a possibility, are we close? Will Christ return in our lifetime, or is everything going to keep going on like this forever? Before the Great Tribulation and the time of Satan's wrath, before the Day of the Lord, the time of God's wrath, there is a gathering st ...

Hold Fast To What You Have

I want to get right into the sermon here today though. I'd like to begin by just turning to a verse in the Book of Revelation, Revelation, Chapter 3 and Verse 11 and really the title from the sermon comes right out of this verse, this verse simply says "Behold I come quickly, hold fast what you have that no one may take your crown. So the title of the Sermon today is: Hold Fast What You Have. Jesus Christ said that he would be with his church until the end of time. That He would build his Church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it or the gates of hades, the gates of the grave. In other words it would always exist down through time until Jesus Christ came back to the earth. And we read this in Matthew 16, Verse 18 and yet scarcely 20 years after the crucifixion of Jesu ...

Watch and Pray

Okay, let's get right into the sermon here, most of you know what the doomsday clock is. You've probably heard of it, probably not so much for our younger people but according to the doomsday clock it now stands at 100 seconds to midnight which signals the most dangerous situation humanity has ever faced. That is the closest it's ever been since 1953 at the height of the Cold War. Each year the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, a non-profit group that sets the clock, decides whether the events of the previous year push humanity closer to or further from destruction. The closer to midnight we are the more danger we are in according to the group. The clock conveys how close we are to destroying our civilization with dangerous technologies of our own making. ...

The Good Shepherd

All right the title of the Sermon today for those who write down titles is called The Good Shepherd. How many of you have seen a flock of sheep? How many of you, I might ask have held a baby lamb in your arms? I dare say that most of you have not and the reason that you probably have not held a baby lamb in your arms is because most of us do not live on farms these days. And it's sometimes difficult for people who live in the city who haven't had any experience on a farm with animals to relate to some of the verses that we find in the Bible and some of the examples that we have in scripture. There's often a disconnect and sometimes there's a disconnect even between leadership and the people under that leadership because they're not in touch with people under their care or under t ...

The Dramatic Return of Jesus Christ

Today I want to talk about the dramatic or the absolutely spectacular return of Jesus Christ. The average person in the world today believes that this is a fable that Christ is not coming back, that that is something only crazy people think and say. However, there are a number of professing Christians and again they're called professing Christians, not God's people, that expect the second coming of Christ but they're very divided among themselves as to why He comes, how He comes and when He comes as the conquering King of Kings. And so I want to cover this subject today. I also want to review some pretty fundamental teachings in our literature and also from the Bible regarding the Feast of Trumpets. ...

The Righteous Are As Bold As A Lion

All right let's get into the sermon here today and if you're someone who takes notes what I'm about to talk about will fit in quite well with Mr. Serson's Sermonette. The title of the sermon is The Righteous are as Bold as a Lion and I want to go to Proverbs 28 to start here, Proverbs 28 and Verse 1 and see what the Bible says I think this scripture is very appropriate for the days in which we live. Of course it's been appropriate all along and applicable but especially at this time in history. It says in Proverbs 28, Verse 1 it says the wicked flee when no one pursues but the righteous are bold as a lion. As Mr. Serson mentioned taking a stand is never easy, it's easy to go with the flow. ...

Faith, Unity, and Preparation

I'm going to kind of jump right in here, these are difficult times for the Church of God. Many of God's people are hurting in one way or another right now. There is contention, there is heartache in the body and we all hurt in moments like these. It's something I think that we can talk about maybe spend some time on going through today. We each are working out our own salvation with fear and trembling and we must continue to evaluate and examine ourselves as we go through this process. We have to evaluate and examine our relationship with our Creator. We trust that he will correct us, that he will shape us and mold us and he prepares us for what lies ahead and there is a time right now that the Bride is to make herself ready. ...

One of God's Greatest Gifts

I'll get right on into the sermon at this time, the title, if you write titles is "One of God's Greatest Gifts". This is a message I've given here recently it's not going to be exactly the same, but it's a very important message that I think needs to go out at this time and it's a message that the world really needs to hear as well. There are many professing Christians in the world today that view God's law as a burden and they claim it was nailed to the cross. They claim that we no longer need to keep it, that Christ does it all for us, all we need to do is just believe and besides they say we can't keep it anyway so what's the point in trying. How do you view God's law? How do I view it? Is God's law a blessing to you or a curse? Can we keep it? Are we able to do so ...
