 Good evening everyone. Welcome to the Friday evening Bible Study here again on March 3rd, 2023. Hard to believe how fast time is going. Tonight let's get right into this because we only have one hour and we've got a lot to cover. We're in 1st Corinthians, Chapter 8, Verse 1. It says: Now concerning things offered to idols we know that we all have knowledge, knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. So Paul says again, he's reading or quoting a slogan used by certain Corinthians that were really using it in an arrogant sense. We know that we have all knowledge and they were using that phrase against the weaker Christians. The weaker members believed that eating meats that were offered to idols was a sin and other Corinthians argued that if idols were worthless then the meat that was offered to them was fine to eat and Paul agreed with that. ... |
