I want to get right into the sermon here today though. I'd like to begin by just turning to a verse in the Book of Revelation, Revelation, Chapter 3 and Verse 11 and really the title from the sermon comes right out of this verse, this verse simply says "Behold I come quickly, hold fast what you have that no one may take your crown. So the title of the Sermon today is: Hold Fast What You Have. Jesus Christ said that he would be with his church until the end of time. That He would build his Church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it or the gates of hades, the gates of the grave. In other words it would always exist down through time until Jesus Christ came back to the earth. And we read this in Matthew 16, Verse 18 and yet scarcely 20 years after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul was already cautioning Christians not be deceived by false teaching. ...
